MSEdgeRedirect for Windows 10 and Windows 11 can now redirect Bing searches to Google

MSEdgeRedirect, the replacement for Edge Deflector, has been updated to version 0.6 with some cool new features.

MSEdgeRedirect redirects Windows News, Search, Widgets, Weather and more to your default browser.

The tool filters and passes the command line arguments of Microsoft Edge processes to your default browser instead of connecting to the Microsoft Edge: administrator. This change was necessary after Microsoft made it impossible to resume the Microsoft Edge: protocol, leaving Edge Deflector non-functional. The MSEdgeRedirect method should provide resilience against future changes. Unlike Edge Deflector, however, it must run continuously in the background, but the app can be configured to run automatically on launch.

The latest version lets you rewrite search that would normally go to Bing or Bing Weather, meaning you can finally use the News & Interests taskbar widget without fear and even perform Google searches from Windows search. .
