Yahoo wants to be the central hub for all your emails, including its rival, Gmail. Here’s how to set up your Gmail account in Yahoo Mail.
Yahoo recently added the ability to add your Gmail account to your Yahoo Mail. After adding your Gmail account, it will retrieve your 200 recent messages and allow you to search your entire Gmail archive (including attachments).
If you have multiple email accounts on different services, Yahoo can be your central hub for handling Outlook (Hotmail), AOL, and of course Yahoo Mail. It also offers the possibility of synchronizing Facebook, Linked In, Twitter contacts.
Add Gmail to Yahoo Mail
You can also do this on your mobile device with the Yahoo Mail app, but here’s how to do it through the web interface on a computer.
From Yahoo Mail, go to Settings> Accounts and select Add another mailbox.
Then select Google from the list of providers.
All you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions. First, you will need to enter your account, description, and credentials. Of course, if you’ve enabled two-factor authentication (which everyone should do), there will be an extra step.
After creating the account, you will see that your Gmail account is on hold while it collects your emails. Then you can send, receive, and manage Gmail from the Yahoo web client.
You will also be able to manage Gmail through the Yahoo Mail app on Android and iOS.
